Last Axanthic bhp hatches out

The very last Axanthic has hatched at Sonnemann's Snakes.
Here he is, number 928, only one day old and yet to slough.
The numbering system is in chronological order of fertile eggs laid, we didn't quite get to hatch 1000 babies but close enough I reckon.
This one displays the reduced melanin banding of its grandfather
and should be a stunner.
This one and its parents will be up for sale soon.

The Albino Spotted python (Antaresia maculosa) project continues this year with the first hatchling albino head poking out today.
There are some outcrossed babies hatching out also.
The last clutch of seven eggs will hopefully have one or two albinos in it, the others will be 66% het for albinism and will be for sale when they are sexed and feeding well.

Adelaide 2015

Around the middle of May 2015 we travelled by road to Adelaide for the first of its kind Reptile and Frog Expo.
Here are a few photos taken along the way at the Walpeup desert Arboretum and returning home on the edge of the Hay plains on the Moulamein to Deniliquin road with a fast approaching storm front- which we managed to stay ahead of all the way to Yarrawonga, when it turned very wet.

Adelaide Reptile Expo

Come and say hello to Neil and see what Sonnemann Snakes has for sale at the upcoming South Australian Reptile and Frog Expo on the 16th & 17th May. It will be a great couple of days, and I am looking forward to attending and catching up with fellow herpers. The committee have worked very hard at ensuring this is an excellent inaugural expo for South Australia and TV coverage before the event will ensure that many people will come for a visit, even those who do not own reptiles. There is also fun for the kids.
We will have some super specials on the day, and will have 2 Axanthic Black headed pythons up for sale, so get to the bank, and come and grab a special deal. See you there!
